Air Show Tailgate Party

On May 15-16, 2010, McBride’s RV Storage held its 4th annual free air show tailgate party for its customers in front of the RV storage facility. A total of over 500 Boat storage customers and RV customers attended the event. Many of the customers brought family and friends with them to enjoy the festive atmosphere.

The air show started about 11:00 am in the morning, with World War II warbirds buzzing directly over our heads by just a few hundred feet. You could actually feel the thundering sound of the engines because they were so close. Many stood up and stared in amazement while others ran for cover, scared by the threat of the planes and the noise. It was Awesome! There were many exciting planes to watch but in the afternoon the F-16 fighter jet stole the show. With its extremely loud blasting noise from the afterburner of the jet engine, you could feel the ground shake beneath your feet. You could also see the flames coming out from the back of the engine. It was an impressive display of power and speed.

Most of the people really enjoyed the event and the efforts to create the tailgate party. Many brought their own BBQ’s, ice chest coolers, folding chairs, E-zee ups and made it a real family outing.

Watching the show and enjoying the food

Even if customers brought no provisions, McBride’s RV storage arranged for one of their food vendor customers to set up their trailer and sell food and drink. Customers enjoyed the Bebops Kabob’s Asian meat egg rolls with the sweet and spicy sauce. The children who attended had fun throwing water balloons, playing games and enjoying the free popsicles from McBride’s.

All in attendance expressed their appreciation to the McBride’s family and their employees by the wonderful comments. One customer expressed that she realizes that the management for McBride’s really understands their customers and their needs. Another individual expressed that he never had a friendship type relationship with a boat storage facility management until he chose McBride’s. Another customer really expressed her heartfelt appreciation. She said “I have used RV storage facilities for the past 40 years we have been RVing. I can tell that not one of the other facilities we have used have shown such personal interest in their customers as the McBride’s do with their customers”. One of the wives of the customers mentioned that she loves the RV storage facility and the people who run it. She said “the people in the office are always friendly and very helpful if you ever need anything. We are never going to change boat storage facility”.

Keeping an eye on security

Professional security advisors, law enforcement and emergency personnel were all consulted and played a part in the security design for this facility. Staff members have a trained eye for potential security breaches and other on-site activities.

The eye in the sky

One of the most innovative and sophisticated security systems available to date has been implemented at McBride’s. A combination of surveillance video cameras recording and tilt/pan/zoom cameras that zoom in, focus and follow movement throughout the yard have been built into the storage yard. Electronic coded access security gates integrated with modern computer software provides even more security.

While most storage yards use only 6 foot chain link fences for perimeters, this facility features 13 foot solid block walls. The unusually high walls deter vehicle theft, vandalism and every sort of devious trespassing.   The entire facility is brightened with stadium lighting at night.  These extra bright lights offer a higher level of personal safety for tenants visiting the facility after dark.

Covered and open parking

Seeing is believing. Spread out over 17+ acres, you will find extra wide driveways, 30 degree angle parking, and large turning radiuses. McBride’s offers approximately 1,000 spaces either covered or open parking. Spaces range in a wide variety of sizes accommodating everything from a single jet ski to the largest of luxury motorhomes.

An underground water detention system collects every drop of rain (up to 1 million gallons), filters it, and slowly lets it drain to the storm drain. This keeps our facility environmentally clean, and prevents flooding and potholes from developing.

Washing made quick and easy

Free amenities for our customers include a custom designed RV wash area. The wash area is an extra spacious pull-through with high pressure hoses and nozzles on each side of the vehicle. The nozzles include a soap trigger, liquid wax and spot free rinse.

Professional wash equipment saves you hours of time

The wash area has 4 feet high catwalks on each side making it easy and safe to wash those high, hard to reach places on your vehicle.

Clean and private dump stations. Not for public use.

This facility includes two easy-to-use dump stations for dumping and rinsing your holding tanks. Both swish and flush like real toilets.

Tank chemicals and toilet paper can be purchased on site.

No more messing around at the gas station feeding quarters into a machine. Our air compressor is complimentary for our customers.
